Aristotelous Square is the place where the locals will meet, enjoy their coffee or food across the sea. Today it’s one of the liveliest areas of the city, crowded with coffee shops and restaurants and a buzzing nightlife destination for all ages.

Ladadika is one of the most popular areas in the city of Thessaloniki; it located next to the port of the city, in the historic center. The name of the area literally means the shops that sell oil and its products. The area used to be the central market of the city during Ottoman Rule or even earlier.

Syngrou & Valaoritou Streets are the city must-go destination for the young. Enjoy some great bar-hopping there; as far as music is concerned, there is something for everyone whether you are into genres both Greek and foreign.

Palia Sfageia is an area just off the city centre, where you can find a variety of clubs and the well-known bouzoukia (playing live Greek popular music). In the summer, head for the airport area where all the above clubs welcome the crowd for the most defining of all seasons for the city: summer!

Kastra (Castle area) is the place to be if you love some romantic mood. Visit this uphill area of the city, offering great views of Thessaloniki; it’s perfect for having your morning coffee or for enjoying your ouzo with mezedes in the evening in one of the traditional tavernas in Eptapyrgio (located at the highest point of Ano Poli area).
